Revolt

Music can be dangerous for dictatorships. If it weren't, it wouldn't be banned time and time again. Saxophonist Phillip Dornbusch and his band Projektor explore protest songs that represent the fight for freedom in their third album, Revolt. With their distinctive sound, a fusion of contemporary jazz and avant-garde, the quintet reimagines and transforms musical elements from various protest songs, delivering fresh, energetic music that shines, grooves, and captivates. Their music serves as a symbol of solidarity, encouraging reflection on the present moment.

FAZ describes Phillip Dornbuschs Projektor as "juvenile high-flyers of the German scene." After their previous album was nominated for "Album of the Year" at the German Jazz Prize, the band now releases their third album, Revolt.
